Elizabeth Johnson received her B.A. in Fine Arts from Bard College in 1986. She lived in San Francisco, California for 25 years and supported herself hanging wallpaper for interior designers. She moved to Easton, Pennsylvania in 2011, and is currently a professional dog walker. She started writing art reviews for artpractical.com in San Francisco, later covering exhibitions in New York, Philadelphia, and the Lehigh Valley for theartblog.org based in Philadelphia. She has written for artcritical.com, Artvoices magazine, Figure/Ground.org, and DeliciousLine.org. Elizabeth now writes for Deliciousline.org. She had solo shows at the Cafe Museo at SFMOMA, and at Canada College in Redwood City, CA, and was featured in “Paint,” at Fort Mason’s SFMOMA Artists Gallery. She curated “The Big Painting Show” at WorkSpace Limited in San Francisco’s Mission District, and has since curated shows that integrate regional and urban artists at Lafayette and Cedar Crest Colleges in Pennsylvania. She embraces a broad range of venues, showing in: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Jersey City, Newark, Frenchtown, Allentown, and Easton, Pennsylvania. She is a member of the White Columns curated registry, and presented at the October 2016 E32 art crit hosted by Linda Griggs at Lichtundfire Gallery in Manhattan. Most recently she participated in “Introductions 2018,” curated by Enrico Gomez at Trestle Gallery in Brooklyn. A solo show at Cedar Crest College will run Jan-Feb 2019.
