The light, reflecting off of the white paper, through the transparent jewel colors of watercolor is what drives me back to that medium to complete my vision. The colors have to be manipulated and then step back and respected as they mingle and mix based on their individual qualities. It’s a challenging medium, needing strategies, problem solving and negative painting… all things I enjoy.
In addition to watercolor, I work in acrylics, graphite, pastel, casein and mixes of all of them as needed to complete a vision..
I am a signature member of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and Baltimore Watercolor Societies as well as the 2018 recipient of the Coggins Award.
