Running from January 16 through March 28, the Winter Show will feature the artwork of both emerging and established regional artists including Jeffrey Bunce, Tom D’Angelo, Gini Illick, Justin Long, Spencer Snygg, Jessica Echevarria, and Ward Van Haute. The exhibit will also include furniture by Stephen Metz, Andy Vasquez, Mark Southard, and Chelsea Southard, time machines by Doug Kozo, and jewelry by Staci Louise Smith.
With experiences in carpentry, welding, painting, and furniture design, Tom D'Angelo's art can be seen as "creative construction".
The new works from Jeffrey M. Bunce are a spontaneous release of abstract acrylics embodying emotion and a colorful flow.
The need to make art is a curious thing. For Gini Illick, this longing to create started early in life.
Justin Long's art is a mix of carved stone and found steel, combined to create images of human emotion.
Pieces by Andy Vasquez are made according to these five factors: enjoyment through function, curiosity of materials, attention to scale, interaction, and mark of the handmade.
Chelsea Southard's work is greatly influenced by the organic process of degradation/transformation that captures the passing of time and the transfer of memories.
Mark Southard is captivated by the human Spirit shared across cultures and driven to understand the complex political-economic dynamics which frame exchange relationships.
