Ladies and gentlemen, the first full month of Fall is upon us, and along with it comes the changing leaves, carved pumpkins, and spiced, well, everything. If you’re looking for ways to enjoy the season’s unique traditions, Bethlehem has plenty for you to do in October. Check out what’s going on below:
Happening at Bethlehem House Gallery
Our 2019 Summer Show looks to wrap things up with a Closing Reception on October 5th from 6 PM – 9 PM. Join us one last time as we send off this incredible show and the works displayed during it with gusto.
After the show, we’ll be closing for two weeks to prepare for our 2019 Holiday Show. The Opening Reception for the show will be held on October 18th from 6 PM – 9 PM. Make sure to RSVP to let us know you’re coming!
Join us on October 2nd at 6 PM for an evening of relaxing yoga and wine. Yoga instructor and wellness enthusiast, Laurel Attanasio, will guide us through to shavasana in an intimate setting surrounded by art. After, roam the gallery with wine and light fare. Spots fill up fast, buy your tickets while they are still available.
Other events in the Bethlehem area
Looking for something to do before attending the Closing Reception? The 14th Annual Harvest Festival will be taking place on October 5th and running from 11 AM – 8 PM.
Enjoy live music, food, retail vendors and more on Main Street until 5 PM. The Harvest Festival will be holding soup, wine, and beer trails for your enjoyment. Purchase a passport for each and stop by participating merchants, including the Bethlehem House Gallery, to enjoy various broths, brews, and wines. Then, enjoy the biergarten held until 8 PM at the Sun Inn Courtyard.
Plane tickets to Germany can be kind of pricey, especially in October. If you’re unable to head across the Atlantic to this crazy festival, you’re in luck! Check out the Lehigh Valley’s very own Oktoberfest 2019, being held at SteelStacks from October 4th – 6th and October 11th – 13th.
Enjoy all things German, from the games, food, drinks, music, and more. There are tons of things going on during the free festival, so even if you’re not 21, you can still take advantage of this fun outing. Prost!
